Authentic Lyon Waffles
(recipe for 10 waffles)
500 g flour
75 cl of liquid (equal parts water, beer and milk)
125 g butter (melted!)
2 packets of vanilla sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch of salt
Vanilla aroma, Kirsch or rum
Did you know that Lagrange company is located not far from Lyon and the Lagrange family grew up in this area?
Suffice to say that they make great authentic Lyon waffles (probably even the best!) .
Melt the butter and let cool.
Put the flour in a bowl.
Add the salt, sugar and eggs.
Beat with a whisk. In a bowl, dissolve the yeast in the liquid.
Add this mixture to the bowl and the melted butter.
Flavor to taste. Continue to beat until the dough is smooth.
Let stand 30 minutes. Simple and efficient !
Pour the batter into the Super 2 waffles!
And quickly flip the unit to get perfectly formed waffles!
