
Chorizo and Parmesan Churros
When sweet meets savory! These chorizo and Parmesan churros are the perfect blend of golden sweetness and spicy flavors. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, they add a unique and delicious touch to your appetizers!
Ingredients
For about 12 churros:
- 400 g (14 oz) of mashed potatoes
- 100 g (3.5 oz) of flour
- 80 g (2.8 oz) of Parmesan cheese
- 100 g (3.5 oz) of chorizo
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper
Preparation
1. Wash the potatoes. Place them in a pot of water and let them cook for 20 to 25 minutes after the water starts boiling.
2. Drain, peel, and mash the potatoes with a fork in a bowl.
3. In this bowl, mix the mashed potatoes with the finely diced chorizo and Parmesan cheese.
4. Add the flour and eggs and mix everything together.
5. Place 2 to 3 tablespoons of dough along the plate to fill the churro to its full length.
6. Cook the churros for about 5 minutes in your Premium Waffles® waffle maker. To cook the churros best, it is strongly recommended to use the waffle tongs.
7. Remove the cooked churros. Cut the churros with scissors to separate them from each other, being careful not to burn yourself.
8. Set them aside on a wire rack.
