Difficulty:

The Liege waffle, straight from Belgium, is indulgence at its finest! Rich, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, it's perfect with a dusting of powdered sugar or a touch of chocolate. An irresistible delight for your taste buds!

Ingredients

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 g flour
  • 200 ml lukewarm milk
  • 20 g fresh yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 70 g brown sugar
  • 300 g butter
  • 220 g pearl sugar
  • 250 g strawberries
  • Whipped cream

Preparation

Use a stand mixer. In the bowl, dissolve the yeast in lukewarm milk, add the flour, then the eggs, brown sugar, and a large pinch of salt. Start the machine with the dough hook attachment.
Gradually add the softened butter in small pieces.
Cover with plastic wrap and let the dough double in size for about 1 hour.
Deflate the dough and then add the pearl sugar.
Form small balls of dough (depending on the desired size of your Liege waffles).
Let the dough balls rise for 15 minutes.
Cook two at a time, pressing down the dough balls in your waffle maker.

TIPS AND TRICKS
