
Liège waffles, strawberries and salted caramel
The Liège waffles, strawberries and salted caramel are a true delight for those with a sweet tooth. Ingredients
- 10 g of active dry baker's yeast
- 1 tablespoon of Régilait semi-skimmed milk powder
- 90 ml of lukewarm water
- 250 g of flour
- 40 g of brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch of fleur de sel
- 150 g of softened butter
- 110 g of pearl sugar or caramel micro cubes (candy)
- 300 g of strawberries
- 1 tube of Regilait salted caramel spread
Preparation

1. In the bowl of your stand mixer, pour the flour, semi-skimmed milk powder, yeast, brown sugar, and water, then mix.
2. Add the egg, cinnamon, and salt, then let the mixer knead for 5 minutes at speed 1.
3. Add the softened butter and continue kneading for another 5 minutes at speed 2. Don't hesitate to scrape down the sides of the bowl occasionally to ensure the butter is well incorporated.
4. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest at room temperature for 1 hour.
5. Deflate the dough with your fist, then incorporate the pearl sugar (or caramel micro cubes) and knead a little to mix the new elements well into the dough.
6. Divide and shape the dough into 10 or 12 balls depending on the size of your waffle maker.
7. Let rest for 15 minutes.
8. Meanwhile, wash and hull the strawberries, and slice them thinly. You can shape them into hearts if desired.
9. Preheat the Super 2 Waffles maker fitted with heart-shaped plates and cook the waffles.
9. When serving, drizzle each waffle with Régilait "salted caramel" spread, then place a few strawberries on top to decorate.
