
Vanilla ice cream: The ultimate classic!
Vanilla ice cream: a timeless classic that never goes out of style! Its creamy and delicate taste melts hearts with every spoonful. Simple, yet so delicious. Perfect on its own or paired with fruits, coulis or chocolate, it's the irresistible companion for indulgent moments.
Ingredients
- 10 egg yolks (medium size)
- 200 g of sugar
- 1 vanilla pod (Bourbon from Madagascar is excellent)
- 1 liter of milk (whole is better)
Preparation
To begin
To properly prepare the ingredients: split the vanilla pod in half to remove the small seeds inside (cutting lengthwise is more practical) and separate the egg yolks from the whites.
On one side, bring the milk to a boil with the vanilla, and on the other, whisk the egg yolks with sugar until you get a frothy mixture.
Combine in a single container and continue mixing.
Then transfer this beautiful custard into the saucepan to heat it over very low heat.
Next
Stir constantly to prevent the cream from sticking or curdling... and forming lumps.
When the mixture is cooked (how to tell? When you remove your wooden spoon from the mixture, it should coat the spoon), let it cool in the refrigerator.
