
Squid ink waffles

Ingredients
- 250g flour
- 12g fresh yeast
- 250ml milk
- 2 eggs
- 50g melted butter
- Salt
- 2 packets of squid ink
- 1 jar of marinated red bell peppers
- 5g saffron
- 1L liquid cream
- 10g cornstarch
Preparation
The perfect recipe to celebrate Belgian National Day!
1. In a blender, combine milk, eggs, squid ink, flour, fresh yeast, melted butter, and a pinch of salt.
2. Mix until obtaining a homogeneous batter.
3. Transfer to a bowl and let rest for one hour.
4. Reduce the cream with saffron.
5. Add cornstarch and mix until reaching a semi-thick texture
6. Drain and blend the red bell peppers.
7. Preheat the Lagrange waffle maker fitted with 4x7 waffle plates.
8. Cook the waffles.
9. When cooked, drizzle with bell pepper cream and saffron cream.
