Verbena Yogurt
Verbena yogurt, a delicious refreshing break with subtle and fragrant notes! A perfect blend of creaminess and freshness, for a gourmet and soothing experience.
Ingredients
INGREDIENTS
- 3 level tablespoons of white sugar
- About thirty dried verbena leaves (or 3 verbena tea bags as a substitute)
- 2 drops of green food coloring (optional)
Preparation
Recipe created by Sarita, from the blog Recits de Valise
Heat the milk with verbena leaves until the mixture develops a nice verbena aroma (according to taste; I left it for 10 minutes).
Let cool then add the powdered milk, plain yogurt and white sugar. Add green food coloring if desired, I personally didn't use any as I prefer the natural look. Mix well until smooth. Pour into jars.
Then place the jars in the yogurt maker without their lids, close the yogurt maker and set it for 10 hours. Once the program is complete and the jars have cooled, remove them from the machine and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
TIPS AND TRICKS
Yogurts generally keep for one week in the refrigerator.
